24 Hours!!!!!!

Have you thought about how you're going to spend the last 24 hours of 2010? In approximately two hours we will begin a count down of the last 24 hours of this year. We will never see 2010 again. It was truly a year, but through it all we made it!!!!!

The Knife

Jessie Penn-Lewis wrote: "Galatians 5:24 is 
also a passage which meets the case just here: "They that are Christ's have 
crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.' This is judicially the 
position of all the children of God, but it must be experimental also. For in 
this spiritual battle, unless the knife is applied to what the scriptures term 
the 'flesh,' it will always be ground for the enemy to attack, so as to weaken 
us in the conflict. The 'flesh' must be kept under the knife of the cross, for 
if there is any self-indulgence, or anything that is doubtful in your life, and 
you venture to take the aggressive against the foe, the enemy will come back on 
you, and -- fastening on that uncrucified 'ground' in you -- will press you with 
appalling power. You must have the knife of the cross steadily, persistently, 
and unbrokenly applied to the flesh; to the appetites of the flesh, to 
self-indulgence in any form, and to the pride of the flesh."

God are you listening?

There are times when we may wonder, Is God listening or God do you hear me? Let me assure you God is a good listener and  hears when you call. Jeremiah 33:3....."Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." It is important that we walk in the confidence that He does. Don't let your feelings of doubt be your indicator that He's not listening. The following experience prompted me to blog, God are you Listening? One school day as I was writing notes on the whiteboard a student just started talking to me. I never turned around or gave any indication I was listening. One student started laughing and jokingly said, Ms. Walters is not even listening to you. I turned around immediately and asked the student if she thought I wasn't listening to her. She adamantly said no, I knew you were listening. My response was, how did you know? She confidently responded, I felt you were listening. That was powerful to me, because I was listening intently. Be encouraged God is listening.

Watch Night Service

This will be our first Watch Night Service in the South. We relocated here from the Poconos and have been in North Carolina six months. It is going to be a celebration of Praise, Worship ,and Gratitude unto the Lord. Please join Living Waters Christian Church of NC and Apostle Jacqueline Walters as we close out the Year 2010, the Decade 2000-2010 and launch into a New Year 2011, the Decade 2011-2020. The service will held at the Holiday Inn Express, 4912 South Miami Blvd, Durham, NC at 10:30PM. All are welcome and please bring your Praise, Worship, and Gratitude.

New Beginning

I'm finally blogging and writing -- obeying another call for the Lord. It's certainly challenging, but I'm ready!

Time Keeps Moving

Today will become Yesterday and Tomorrow will become Today. Yesterday is the Past, Today is the Present and Tomorrow is the Future. Always remember what you do Today (Present) will affect your Tomorrow (Future). Make every day a meaningful day. You will never see it again, so make it count! Remember be/become humble. There are many rewards for the humble person.
